A Slow Day at Reference

One of my jobs on campus is to work at the reference desk at the college library. Today is painfully slow. After a mad dash across town during lunch to get yet even more transcripts, I returned to the desk with not much else on the agenda for today. The Spring offensive has begun and I started on the patio project again which means I'm as stiff as a board today. While I was at the desk this afternoon I resorted to an old pastime to relieve the boredom, doodling.

I know all about those photocopiers that control your life and PC's that want to ruin it if you're not careful.

I've reached a truce with the copier Emily, but my relationship with my PC is tenuous still.

While I will never look at McCain in the same way again, I have always thought of Cheney as Cartman.

I always have a 6" club subway on honey/oat bread with lettuce, tomato, capsicum, onion and then smothered with olives!

I am not going to talk about the Byronic Man - - -

Archie, I just recovered from yesterday's pun.

I think it's the halting way of speaking that make the two seem similar to me. Take a recording of Mccain and turn up the pitch and I'll bet it sounds like Butters.

Capsicum, hmmm, is that bell peppers?

I'm thinking of developing the Byronic Man for a comic strip.
